How are private label vitamin and supplement gummies made?

Everyone loves gummies. They are an excellent vehicle for vitamins, nutritional supplements, nootropics, and more.
But how are gummies made?
It all starts with an idea.
While Sky Nutro offers more than 30 white-label vitamins, supplements, and nootropics gummies, sometimes our customers want something just a bit extra for their brand.
That’s where private label gummies come into play.
Sky Nutro’s formulation experts can develop a proprietary private label product utilizing many flavors and ingredients.
The process will typically begin with a discovery meeting to discuss their project, ingredients, associated costs, lead times, production schedule, etc.
Once everything is agreed upon and signed off, we will begin the formulation for the first samples in a small batch.
For instance, we all know that brain fog related to COVID19 is an issue for many people. A customer may come to us looking for a blend of vitamins and nootropic ingredients to create a “clarity gummy” in strawberry flavor.
Our Chief Science Officer would research the ingredients by volume, flavors, etc., devise a recipe and mix the first sample batch.
Before curing, gummies are a fairly thick liquid, with a consistency similar to brownie batter.
The mixture is poured into small-batch silicone molds (pictured above). The mold plate is set into a rack to begin curing.
Upon curing, the sample gummies are then removed from the mold to allow further curing, sugar coating (if requested), and finally, packaging.
The next stop for the gummies is shipping to the client for final approval before production at scale.
